1- Kennel's Certificate of Excellence:
The breeder's frameable certificate which provides and confirms such information as:
- Pup's birth info: date and place of birth, and sex, colour .. etc.
- Pup's real market value.
The frameable document will of course state that it's a purebred top quality Dane with championship bloodline and will state (for insurance or replacement purpose) that the puppy is worth US$3,000 as actual replacement value (even though you'll actually pay considerably less;
not because it's worth less, rather because we are making it affordable to have a good Dane, whenever we have an extra pup and you have a good
home).
The lower sale price however does not negate the fact that market price, by comparison to any of the advertised US$3,500 to US$4,500+ pups
presently listed, your pup is better or certainly as good as the rare best. It would cost you from $3,000 to $4,500 to replace it with a top
quality Dane (we'll provide you with ads, web sites and kennels showing pictures of their sire and dam, selling for US$4,000 a pup - and most are
not as good).
Yes, to get a good pup from any of the few breeders who seem to breed for profit and to serve only the financially very capable people, you would
have to pay at least US$3,500+ for a pup. Hence, we believe that your papers for insurance replacement should also indicate the quality
replacement market value, not just what you paid to a breeder with good Danes sold at a lower than market price price.
$3,000+ is certainly the minimum real replacement value.
Again, and to complete the other side of the story, as price is not always indicative of quality, we acknowledge that there are good Danes, sold
for $1,500 to $2,500, considerably less than the average claimed quality advertised in the $4000+ range; however, as in our case:
1- Our pups are truly better than the US$3,750 advertised this week by USA and European breeders - and the $4,500 pup advertised by a
French breeder. ; and we could - or should ask for that much, but we choose not to. We were offered $4,000 for a pup if we agreed on no
conditions breeding & full registration.
2- The breeder's prerogative to charge considerably less is not guaranteed to be re-exercised/offered, nor does it reduce or alter the fact
that the pup's value based on quality factor is considerably greater than the low compensation we accept. In other words; simply, price
reduction does not reduce the actual quality / value of the pup nor does it guarantee availability of similar replacement cost. With all that
in mind, the certificate will simply state a pup value of US$3,000.
- The pup's name (as selected by you - and we recommend a first name you select, the middle name is Gouda (we are proud of our Danes) -
and your family / last name as the pup's last name (the Dane is now a member of your family).
- Names of both parents and confirmation of their Dane pure-bred status and a brief history of their background of championship /
quality Great Danes.
- Kennel's health guarantee of a healthy pup. We'll include in the guarantee even the shipping expenses.
- Name of the new owner, you.
