{Puppy news & info}

If you are interested in a pup, click on link-1 below for information on the current puppies situation of our last and final breeding, the 2012 litter.   We breed only if we have already secured at least 4+ confirmed good homes.  Usually we have at least a couple of friends or relatives promised a free pup which means we secure most of the litter before we breed.  As such, we had one litter in two years.  I havre already satisfied all friends & family members and will not breed again, at least not for a few years for sure.

We plan the breeding carefully - including selecting the time to induce the female's estrus (bringing her into heat) and choosing the sex of puppies-to-be before we breed and depending on the secured good homes and whether they wanted a male or a female (Yes I can and did do that successfully. See the library for details).  Our priority is securing good homes before we breed.  We are serious about that.   Yes, we delay or induce the female's estrus when we want, when we have the applicants. (I explained that this, as well as selecting the sex of the puppies, has been practiced by us successfully and it is scientifically sound)

This page will tell you all about the present situation and planned breeding or whether we have or will have pups soon.  It will also provide you with answers to the following common inquiries.

Please click on the question or link below for information on the issue of interest.

1- Do we have pups available at this time?  When would next year's pups be available?

2- How much a pup costs the breeder?  Part-1
This page will address the must-do care and necessary expenses as we practice it
here and based on the reasonable (to nil at times) compensation we ask for.
You'll see that it is not a business driven, rather more a hobby & Dane interest.

3- How much a pup could cost the breeder - part-2
This is based on a New York breeder who sells her pups for $7000 (yes, no typo) - and
will show you how and why.  We will conclude the report by a comparison as to
how we cover all necessary needs of pregnancy and the pup for a cost per pup that
can be around just $1000.
Note: puppy mills are the other extreme with no medical - diet care which results in
serious future compromise to the pup's health and development.

4- Based on the pup costs indicated, how much do we sell a pup for?

5- I can only afford so much ... so why there are cheaper pups on line?
and ... are the much more expensive pups online better Danes?
What is the real difference between the overpriced $4000+ ...  the standard $1500 pup and
the cheaper puppy mills pup?
The breeding difference achieved by diet-conditioning:
pre, during & post pregnancy VS business attitude of puppy mills.

technical material for breeders such as how to choose the sex of the puppies.

8- What qualifies an applicant as a good home?
Pup application - agreement?
