           Cleo's first litter - page-1
Cleo's puppies have come .. and gone!
A smaller litter and they are all brindle females.
You had to see them .. they are going to be very large with show potential Danes .. Large beautiful head and body structure.
They weighed an average 2 lb a pup at birth - about 20 lb at 6 weeks.

All our pups have found great homes.  Our next breeding will depend on secured and confirmed applicants. Thank you to all the homes who have obtained one of our pups. We know you'll be proud and will be very happy with your quality Dane. All the best.
Why all the pups this time are all females? click here for a sex selection chat.
And here are some shots of the mom Cleo and her pups.

And she is truly such a good mom!

As for the pups, at age one single day in these pictures, they show potential show quality as well as size.
one day old!!
Cleo
The pups show promising features ..

They opened their eyes at age 12 days ... the average is 3 weeks!
They started to walk at 2 weeks!!!!
at just 2.5 weeks .. 19 days old .. they started eating puppy food .. and what a mess they made .. and how cute it was!  They - as expected would step into the tray of food .. all bodies were covered with food and they licked each other when lots of food was still in the tray .. I'll post pictures tomorrow .. They are very active, playful and soooo cute!

Their diet? My puppy recipe .. average daily per pup:

- 3 hard boiled eggs
- 3 cups of goat milk
- 1/2 cup of cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup of powder multi vitamine-minerals vet clinic formula
- ground beef
-  meat & veggies balanced canned puppy food in gravy
- 2 cups of soaked balanced dry puppy food " Eagle Pack giant breed puppy formula"
- a cup of yogurt

All mixed up in a blender to a soft texture.  The cost is about $9 a day per pup for food alone, about $270 a month or over $500 food cost per pup before they are ready to leave. (Read                                               to see how other costs such as the parents, vet costs, preganancy costs and more can add up to well over $1000 a pup).  Of course the cost of feeding drops drastically after 4 months and after one year; espcially if you can get scrap (good) raw meet from your butcher at times for free (not fat trimmings) and good dry and can dog food on special. See the feeding page info for details.

Also, because I get asked that often, again I recommend you see this page:

what is the difference between internet (mostly American) cheap pups, the expected $1500 pricd pup and the too expensive (over-priced) pups?
Finally, as a reference as what our pups look like, here one of the pups above at age 6 months. "Zia", Cleo's daughter from the 2009 breeding:

Paul,
Zia is now 6.5 months old, weights in at 80+ lbs and is 27.5” inches.
She is an active, happy girl and is learning her manners quite well. We are very pleased with her and she gets compliments all the time about her markings. She loves to ride in the truck between the seats!
Regards,
Von Provo
